RWPN recognises that there needs to be more support for mentors who are working with students and apprentices.
What makes for a good mentor? Identifying the right person to be a mentor is crucial. Having a great mentor is obviously essential for the student or apprentice, but mentoring can be a fantastic opportunity for the mentor - a chance to grow as a professional and share skills. But how does an employer and a prospective mentor decide if it's right for them and their team? Birmingham City University, a group of their mentors in 2024 and RWPN have worked together to produce a skills audit for prospective mentors and employers.
