How to Join

Select the appropriate membership level from the list below and complete the form you will be taken to.  Invoices will be automatically generated for paid memberships - these can be paid online or by following any of the payment instructions incuded on the invoice. If your membership will be paid for by your employer, please get in touch if you require the invoice being addressed and sent elsewhere.

Please note  - if you would prefer to pay quarterly by standing order (£22.50 per quarter/£15 per quarter NI), please email info@rwpn.org.uk and we will send you a personalised standing order mandate for your bank once you have completed the stages below.

HMRC has stated that you can claim income tax relief in respect of the membership subscription fee (for members who fill in self-assessment forms). This was effective from April 2017 

For Registrant status, you must provide proof of qualification to members@rwpn.org.uk

Renewals RWPN membership runs from January to December of each year (applications welcome at any time during the year and the fee will be pro-rated). Upon renewal all members will be reminded to reacquaint themselves with the stipulations of membership and registration.

We have a range of different membership levels (see below).   

By applying for full membership of RWPN you are stating that you are a qualified Vision Rehabilitation or Habilitation Specialist and, as a consequence of this, that your name will appear on our public-facing professional register.  By applying to join as a full member/registrant you are stating:

  • I have qualified by an appropriate qualification route  
  • I will submit evidence of my qualification either by post or email to RWPN
  • I am consenting to my name appearing on the public facing register
  • I will abide by RWPN's Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct
  • I will undertake Continuing Professional Development in order to remain on the register, in accordance with RWPN's CPD policy
  • I will notify RWPN of any fitness to practice declarations issued by other accredited/statutory registrant bodies. (Such a declaration will not necessarily exclude registration with RWPN, but the application will need to be reviewed by our Registration and Professional Standards committee.)

Acceptance of membership rests with the membership secretary, once proof of qualification is received. If your application to join RWPN's register is turned down, we will provide you with the reason in writing. You can appeal this decision and should contact us, in writing, with your reasons. Our decision will be reviewed by RWPN's Registration and Professional Standards Committee and they will contact you directly to arrange this.
